Belize tourism board anticipates strong high season

The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) expects a robust high season following four consecutive months of declining tourism arrivals. Director of Tourism Evan Tillett noted that while recent industry performance has fallen short due to geopolitical headwinds, current bookings suggest a recovery is underway.

To restore growth, the BTB plans to focus on increased marketing, the development of new air routes, and closer collaboration with the private sector. A significant development includes the confirmed launch of a Discover Airlines route from Frankfurt in December 2027, which officials view as a vital step in increasing European arrivals.
