Belize Youth Programs Boost Marine Conservation and Cruise Careers

More than thirty children aged six to twelve from the Caribbean Shores constituency attended a week‑long fishing camp at Dolphin Park, run by Area Representative Kareem Musa and fishing instructor John Clayton Burks. The camp taught practical fishing skills and emphasized protecting marine life, including how to release captured animals safely.

Separately, the Belize Tourism Board arranged for forty secondary‑school students from several schools to board the Carnival Liberty at the Fort Street Tourism Village. The visit gave the students a behind‑the‑scenes look at cruise‑ship operations, allowing them to meet crew members and learn about navigation, engineering, hospitality, and ship maintenance, as part of a broader effort to develop future tourism professionals in Belize.
