Bell introduces 5Fifty Spherical mountain bike helmet

Bell has introduced the 5Fifty Spherical, a new high-end open-face helmet designed for aggressive trail and all-mountain cycling. Replacing the Super Air model in the brand's flagship lineup, the helmet focuses on advanced protection and optimized ventilation.

The core safety feature is the Spherical technology powered by Mips. Unlike traditional Mips systems that use an internal plastic liner, this design utilizes a ball-and-socket structure consisting of two independent EPS foam layers. This allows the outer shell to rotate around the inner shell during an angular impact, redirecting rotational forces away from the head.

For thermal management, the helmet features a Dual Flow Ventilation system that channels fresh air through internal channels, complemented by a rear diffuser inspired by motorsport to extract hot air. Additionally, the helmet includes a Sweat Guide to drain moisture away from the face and Ionic+ antibacterial padding to prevent odors.
