Bell Textron supports HALO-Flight and US Marine Corps helicopter programs

Bell Textron Inc. has announced that HALO-Flight, a nonprofit air medical provider in South Texas, has ordered a Bell 407GXi helicopter. This marks the seventh IFR-equipped Bell 407GXi to join the HALO-Flight fleet, which serves 23 counties across approximately 24,000 square miles.

Separately, the U.S. Marine Corps Light/Attack Helicopter Program Office is utilizing flight test data from modified H-1 aircraft to refine the Structural and Power Improvements for NextGen Effects (SPINE) configuration. Testing of the AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom aims to increase structural load capacity and electrical power to support future systems and weapons. Bell Textron is currently preparing its Amarillo, Texas, facility for the transition of these upgrades to operational fleet aircraft, with modifications expected to begin in fiscal year 2027.
