Bell Ville recognized as development model at international congress

The IV International Congress on Territorial Development and the V Local Regional Development Conference were held in Villa María, Argentina, from August 19 to 21. Organized by the Universidad Nacional de Villa María and the Instituto Académico Pedagógico de Ciencias Sociales, the event brought together academics, researchers, and institutional leaders from across Latin America to discuss collective prospective planning and territorial challenges.

Bell Ville was highlighted as a successful model of territorial development, showcasing effective dialogue between the educational sector, local government, and the productive sector. Attendees visited various local sites, including the municipal employment office, the Francisco Tau Natural Reserve, and local industrial facilities such as biofuel plants and companies like Dale Más and Arbio. The city was recognized for its public policies, its role as an educational hub, and its emblematic products, including footballs and capia.

During the congress, local councilwoman Cecilia Contreras participated in forums regarding local governments and productive innovation. She presented on long-term territorial planning, green infrastructure for environmental sustainability, and the importance of increasing citizen participation in public policy management.
