Bella Mir to face Alex Apodaca in DWCS main event

Bella Mir is set to face Alex Apodaca in the women's bantamweight main event of Dana White’s Contender Series on August 25. The event will take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Mir, the 23-year-old daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, enters the bout with a 4-0 professional record. She has finished three of her four recent opponents via submission. The match marks Mir's first MMA appearance in over a year, following her victory over Stephanie Calderon via hammerlock in July.

Apodaca enters the contest with a 3-1 record and is coming off three consecutive unanimous decision victories, most recently defeating Devon McDonald in Fury FC. The winner of the bout will be competing for a potential UFC contract.
