Bellapais school parking lot assault suspect appears in court

A suspect identified as S. E., a director at Engüzel Cargo Logistic LTD., appeared in court following a violent altercation at a private school parking lot in Bellapais, Girne. The incident occurred around 15:00 when a dispute arose regarding parking etiquette.

According to police testimony, S. E. engaged in an argument with N. A. after being warned about improper parking. The confrontation escalated, resulting in S. E. striking N. A. in the face, causing serious injury. Witnesses intervened to stop the fight, and footage of the incident was subsequently shared on social media.

The victim was taken to a hospital for medical examination, and a formal assault report was issued. Judge Mine G. Serden ordered that S. E. be released pending trial under specific conditions: a ban on international travel, a 50,000 TL cash deposit, and a 750,000 TL bail bond signed by a TRNC citizen.
