Belle Vernon to play Baden in Pennsylvania Region 6 baseball tournament

Pennsylvania American Legion Baseball will open its Region 6 tournament on Saturday in Beaver Falls. Local team Belle Vernon (17‑2‑1) is scheduled to face Baden (7‑4‑1) at 11:45 a.m.

The tournament is part of a series of eight regional contests across the state, with teams from districts and leagues competing for a spot in the state tournament beginning July 26 in Williamsport. Other regional sites include Claysburg, Quakertown, Broomall, Waynesboro, Scranton and Meadville.
