Belles of the Rockies perform at Sass Pordoi

The Belles of the Rockies, a young American ensemble from the University of Colorado, performed at Sass Pordoi as part of the ‘L’Alba delle Dolomiti’ event. The concert took place at 6:00 AM, set against the backdrop of the Marmolada, Sassolungo, Catinaccio, and Sella groups.

As part of the ‘I Suoni delle Dolomiti’ festival, which has operated for over thirty years under the artistic direction of Mario Brunello, the performance highlighted the role of women in the historically male-dominated field of brass music. The ensemble’s repertoire spans orchestral, jazz, drum corps, musical, and chamber music.

The festival continues through October 3, offering free concerts in various locations across the Trentino Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The program emphasizes environmental awareness, sustainability, and accessibility.
