Belém advances urban development with park expansion and road revitalization

Construction on the second phase of Belém's Parque da Cidade has resumed, with Construtora Maués overseeing the work. The expansion adds new leisure and sport facilities to the 500,000 m² park, originally inaugurated in 2025 as a legacy of COP30, and aims to enhance urban development and social integration.

Separately, the municipal Viva Bairro program delivered its 23rd revitalized street, upgrading the Doutel passage in the Pedreira neighbourhood. Mayor Igor Normando attended the ceremony, highlighting improved mobility, drainage and surface quality as part of a broader goal to asphalt more than 850 streets across the city.
