Belém Civil Defense opens volunteer registration for Círio de Nazaré 2026

The Municipal Civil Defense of Belém has opened registration for volunteers to serve during the Círio de Nazaré 2026 festivities. The recruitment drive aims to prepare individuals to provide first aid, operational support, and emergency assistance during the religious pilgrimages and official events.

Selected volunteers will undergo theoretical and practical training covering first aid, firefighting, accident prevention, and emergency response. This initiative follows a 2025 program that trained 3,000 volunteers to assist with public safety during large gatherings. Registration is free, has no limit on vacancies, and can be completed online via an electronic form.
