Belém historic Palacete Miranda Corrêa to undergo restoration

The Palacete Miranda Corrêa, a historic building in Belém located on Avenida Governador Magalhães Barata, is set to undergo restoration and renovation. The project aims to transform the deteriorating structure into a BYD dealership. The intervention has received technical approval from the Pará State Secretariat of Culture (Secult) through its Department of Historical, Artistic, and Cultural Heritage (DPHAC), which determined that the expansion and renovation will not compromise the visibility or environment of surrounding protected assets.

In a separate effort to promote local heritage, students from the Maria Luiza da Costa Rego School participated in an educational initiative called 'Projeto Nosso Patrimônio'. In partnership with the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), the program used architectural models to teach high school students about the history and cultural memory of Belém's historic center.
