Belém opens registration for Círio de Nazaré 2026 pilgrims

Registration is now open for pilgrim caravans planning to participate in the Círio de Nazaré 2026. The initiative targets groups traveling on foot or by bicycle, particularly devotees traveling from the interior of Pará to the capital, Belém.

Through the ‘Peregrinos de Nazaré’ project, the Diretoria da Festa de Nazaré (DFN) collaborates with security and health agencies to provide support structures along major routes between October 5 and 10. Franco Marcial, the DFN Director of Processions, stated that registration is essential for planning adequate assistance, coordinating security, and organizing reception at the Basilica and Casa de Plácido.

Groups can register via the official Círio website or by telephone through the Pastoral da Acolhida. One of the first registered groups, ‘Pedal da Fé’ from southern Bahia, intends to cycle approximately 2,300 kilometers over 20 days to reach the Basilica Santuário de Nazaré.
