Belém organizers begin preparations for Círio 2026

The Guarda de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré and the Diretoria da Festa de Nazaré (DFN) have begun preparatory activities for Círio 2026 in Belém. On Sunday, August 23, teams participated in training sessions focused on rope activities and conducted preventive inspections of the stations used during the processions.

The training is designed to improve organization, safety, and flow for the two main processions: the Trasladação and the Círio, which take place during the second weekend of October. Personnel training covers various points along the rope, including the Atrelamento, the Cabeça da Corda, and several numbered stations, as well as the Berlinda areas.

In addition to personnel training, technical teams are inspecting the metal structures of the rope stations to identify necessary repairs or adjustments before the October events. The Círio de Nazaré is a major traditional event in Belém that attracts millions of participants.
