Belém reports two fatal shootings in separate incidents

Two separate fatal shooting incidents occurred in Belém, Brazil.

In the Pedreira neighborhood, a man was killed by gunfire on Travessa Vileta. An associate of the victim was also struck by bullets but managed to flee to a nearby pharmacy to seek assistance. The victim reportedly had a criminal record, though the motive remains under investigation by the Civil Police.

In a separate incident, 36-year-old Edyermison Ray Silva Costa, a construction worker, was shot and killed during his lunch break on Passagem Cosme Damião. Witnesses reported that two men on a motorcycle dressed in black opened fire on him before fleeing. Local police noted that Costa was allegedly linked to organized crime, specifically involving the coordination of criminal activities and gathering intelligence on police residences.
