Belém revitalizes public parks and celebrates Bosque Rodrigues Alves
The city of Belém is undertaking several initiatives to improve and celebrate its public green spaces. The Municipal Secretariat of Urban Maintenance and Conservation (Sezel) has launched a revitalization project for the Doca and Tamandaré Linear Parks. These efforts include landscaping, cleaning sand courts for sports like beach tennis, repairing public lighting, and installing grates on unoccupied kiosks to prevent vandalism.
Additionally, the Bosque Rodrigues Alves is celebrating its 143rd anniversary with a series of community events. The programming includes environmental education activities, animal and seed exhibitions, and virtual reality screenings. The celebrations aim to promote nature awareness and community integration through various workshops and educational projects.
