Belém to host regional meeting on LGBTQIAPN+ rights and justice

The National Council of Justice (CNJ), in partnership with the Court of Justice of Pará (TJPA), will host the Northern Regional Meeting on the Promotion of LGBTQIAPN+ Rights and Access to Justice in Belém. Scheduled for September 24 and 25, 2026, the event will take place at the Judicial School of the Judiciary of the State of Pará (EJPA).

The meeting aims to gather members of the judiciary, public prosecutors, public defenders, lawyers, universities, and social movements to discuss ways to expand access to justice and strengthen actions against discrimination. A key objective is the creation of the ‘Carta de Belém’ (Belém Charter), a document intended to consolidate proposals, recommendations, and commitments that account for the social and territorial specificities of the Amazon and the Northern region.
