Regional communities host diverse cultural and environmental events

Various regional communities in Brazil and Portugal are hosting diverse cultural, social, and environmental events.

In Brazil, Belém will host the Vila Círio 2026, featuring regional shows and a recycling initiative where participants can exchange materials for promotional shirts. Porto Velho is launching home deliveries for diapers to assist patients, while also celebrating its 112th anniversary with a large-scale street race. In Arroio do Meio, a special event will feature a producer's fair, environmental waste disposal campaigns, and pet adoption. Other Brazilian initiatives include monthly recycling exchanges in Hortolândia, environmental recognition ceremonies in Criciúma, and electronic waste collection drives in Brusque. Additionally, Recife will host the Transforma Pride event, focusing on LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurship and culture.

In Portugal, Monforte is hosting the Terras sem Sombra Festival, highlighting local heritage and biodiversity. Câmara de Lobos will hold the Eco Mercado, which includes coastal cleaning and musical performances, while Sertã continues its sustainable market to support local producers and circular economy practices. Religious traditions also feature in the Feira D’Aires 2026 at the Santuário de Nossa Senhora D’Aires.
