Belmont Grill to close Memphis location on August 29
Belmont Grill, a long-standing Memphis establishment, is scheduled to suspend day-to-day operations on August 29. Owner and manager Jeff Anderson stated that the 90-year-old building housing the restaurant requires expensive repairs and maintenance. Additionally, the property has been sold to a commercial real estate investment firm.
For nearly 42 years, the restaurant has been a local fixture known for its burgers served on French bread buns and its community atmosphere. While the current location is closing, Anderson indicated that this may not be the final chapter for the Belmont Grill brand.
