Belmont-sur-Rance hosts departmental cycling circuit

The MMA-Skoda-Centre Presse cycling challenge returns this Sunday to Belmont-sur-Rance following a hiatus caused by extreme summer heat. The event features a hilly 11.5 km circuit that riders must complete eight times, totaling approximately 1,100 meters of elevation gain.

Organizer Serge Azam expressed disappointment regarding low registration numbers, noting only 35 senior riders had signed up as of Friday. Antoine De Crespin de Billy, the current leader of the challenge, is expected to defend his white jersey on the course. Weather conditions for the race are expected to be favorable, with sunny skies and temperatures below 30 °C.
