Belén mayors seek coordination with MARA mining project

Local authorities from the Belén department met with Argentina's Minister of Government, Security, and Justice, Alberto Natella, to discuss the development of the MARA mining project and its impact on local communities.

During the meeting, mayors submitted a joint petition to Minera MARA requesting increased coordination and local participation. Key proposals include establishing bimonthly meetings between the company and municipalities, providing transparency regarding the hiring of local labor and services, and coordinating corporate social responsibility efforts. Additionally, the leaders requested an infrastructure work plan to foster collaboration between the mining project and local governments.
