Soto disclosed that the couple, who have been together for approximately two and a half years, met through the dating application Bumble.

Soto explained that she decided to use the app after moving to Mexico to pursue her acting and production career, noting that she felt lonely in a new country. While the couple had previously shared a fictionalized romantic story about meeting during a dispute over cereal in a supermarket, Soto clarified that the real connection began digitally. She noted that Cotic was unaware of her public fame at the time of their meeting.
