Carla Visi hospitalized in Lisbon with bacterial infection

Carla Visi, the 56-year-old former vocalist of the axé band Cheiro de Amor, has been hospitalized in Lisbon, Portugal. She is currently receiving treatment in the infectious diseases ward at Hospital Santa Maria.

Visi reported experiencing high fevers reaching approximately 40°C. While medical professionals have provided a partial diagnosis of a bacterial infection, they are still conducting tests to determine the exact cause and are currently testing various medications. The medical team noted that treatment is complex due to the singer's severe allergies to several medications and her medical history involving breast cancer in 2017.

The artist, who also works as a journalist and environmental activist, shared updates via social media, stating there is currently no scheduled date for her discharge.
