Belo Horizonte hosts free beer and jazz festivals in August
The city of Belo Horizonte will stage two free cultural festivals in August. On 22 August 2026, the Festival Mineiro da Cerveja will take place at Praça José Mendes Júnior in the Savassi district. The event offers more than 30 craft‑beer labels from Minas Gerais breweries, food stalls, a pet‑friendly area and a main stage headlined by the rock band Raimundos. Admission is free with prior ticket collection via Sympla, subject to venue capacity.
Earlier in the month, on 8 August, the Museu da Moda (MUMO) will host a six‑hour free jazz festival. The program includes DJ sets by Leo Olivera and Fabiano Silva, a duo performance by Gustavo Figueiredo and George Paiva, and a trio featuring Daniel Christófaro, Laura Raízes and Sérgio Starling. Attendees can also visit the exhibition “Clara Nunes – Eu Sou a Tal Mineira,” highlighting the life and work of the celebrated Brazilian singer.
