Bem Vindo à Vida to air on Globo’s Sessão da Tarde

The film ‘Bem Vindo à Vida’ (People Like Us) is scheduled to be broadcast on Globo’s ‘Sessão da Tarde’ this Thursday, August 27, at 15:30. Directed by Alex Kurtzman, the drama explores themes of grief, identity, and family reconciliation.

The story follows Sam (Chris Pine), a salesman who returns home following the death of his father. During this period, he discovers a family secret: the existence of a half-sister, Frankie (Elizabeth Banks), and her son, Josh. The plot is driven by a $150,000 inheritance left by his father intended for Frankie and Josh, prompting Sam to seek out the relatives he never knew existed.

Inspired by a personal experience of Kurtzman, the film features an ensemble cast including Michelle Pfeiffer, Olivia Wilde, and Michael Hall D’Addario. The production, which had an estimated budget of $16 million, focuses on intimate character development and the consequences of hidden truths rather than action.
