Bemowo Airport festival triggers Warsaw transport changes

Warsaw authorities have announced significant changes to public transport and traffic organization to accommodate an upcoming festival at Bemowo Airport.

To facilitate arrival, commuters can use the M2 metro line to Bemowo station, connecting to tram lines 26, 28, and a special line 46. Line 46 will operate between 14:00 and 22:00, linking Metro Młociny with Osiedle Górczewska via the airport.

Traffic diversions will affect several bus routes. If Piastów Śląskich street is closed, lines 122, 171, and 220 will use detours via Powstańców Śląskich. Following the conclusion of the festival, further changes will occur due to the closure of Powstańców Śląskich between Wrocławskiej and gen. S. Maczka. During this time, bus lines 112, 122, 184, 201, 220, N01, and N43 will follow altered routes.

Tram services will also be adjusted: line 19 will terminate at Metro Młociny instead of the Nowe Bemowo loop, line 23 will be shortened to the Koło loop, and line 24 will divert toward Osiedle Górczewska. To assist late-night departures, special bus lines 941 and 942 will operate from approximately 23:00 to 01:30, connecting to M1 and M2 metro stations.
