In a recent interview, Affleck confirmed that he did not use a prosthetic during the film’s full-frontal shower scene, noting that his only experience with a prosthesis in film was a nose for ‘Hollywoodland’. He expressed deep respect for director David Fincher, describing the opportunity to work with him as “the great privilege of my life.”

Affleck also clarified a production anecdote involving director David Fincher and a New York Yankees hat. While Fincher had previously suggested that Affleck’s refusal to wear the cap caused a production shutdown, Affleck characterized the story as a joke by the director. Affleck stated that the disagreement over the hat—which he felt would be a distraction to the audience—lasted only about 20 minutes rather than several days.
