Ben Affleck discusses AI use in new film ‘Animals’ and personal life
At the Los Angeles premiere of his new Netflix thriller ‘Animals’, actor and director Ben Affleck addressed several topics regarding his personal life and professional use of technology.
Affleck confirmed that he utilized artificial intelligence for various aspects of the film’s production, particularly in post-production, to increase efficiency. He defended the ethical use of AI, describing it as a tool to support rather than replace human creativity. This follows Netflix’s acquisition of InterPositive, an AI company co-founded by Affleck, for approximately $587 million.
Regarding his personal life, Affleck stated that dating is not a priority, as he is focused on his work and his children following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. He also dismissed recent rumors regarding potential romantic setups with singer Shakira.
Additionally, despite encouragement from co-stars Kerry Washington and Luis Gerardo Méndez to consider a political career, Affleck expressed no interest in entering politics, characterizing the current political landscape as a ‘circus’ and preferring to remain in the film industry.
