Ben Affleck discusses arguments with young players in Fortnite

Actor Ben Affleck shared anecdotes about his experiences playing the video game Fortnite during an appearance on the “New Heights” podcast, hosted by brothers Travis and Jason Kelce. Affleck explained that he began playing the game to connect with his teenage son.

Despite his experience with sports games like Madden and NBA 2K, Affleck noted that he struggles against younger players. He described being frequently defeated and subsequently mocked via voice chat by twelve-year-old opponents. Affleck admitted to engaging in heated verbal arguments with these players, asserting his status as an adult during the disputes.

Additionally, Affleck mentioned that the game has influenced his professional work. He noted that while designing costumes for the upcoming Netflix thriller “Animals,” he drew inspiration from “skins” found in Fortnite, specifically citing a rabbit mask character that his son had described as “hard.”
