Ben Affleck premieres ‘Animales’ in Mexico City

Actor and director Ben Affleck attended the premiere of his new thriller, ‘Animales’, in Mexico City. During the event, Affleck discussed the film's themes regarding undocumented Mexican immigrants in the United States.

Affleck, who co-wrote, directed, and stars in the film, portrays a Los Angeles mayoral candidate. He noted that while some politicians use immigrants as scapegoats to gain votes, his film aims to tell the story of an honorable undocumented man, played by Luis Gerardo Méndez.

Cast members Adriana Paz and Luis Gerardo Méndez highlighted Affleck's commitment to cultural authenticity. They stated that Affleck encouraged the Mexican actors to intervene in the script to ensure the dialogue and situations were realistic and appropriate for the characters.
