Ben Gallaher Releases Acoustic ‘Taylor Gold’ Project Reworking ‘Time’

Country singer‑songwriter Ben Gallaher issued a seven‑track acoustic collection titled “Taylor Gold.” The project revisits songs from his 2022 album Time, including the single “I’ll Take You,” fan favorite “Still a Few Cowboys Left,” and a newly arranged version of the title track. Gallaher said the idea came while he was stuck in traffic, prompting a phone call to longtime co‑writer and producer Neil Thrasher; Tony Martin later helped finish the song. The birth of his son River inspired the reflective tone, and playing a new Taylor Gold acoustic guitar spurred the stripped‑down approach.

The release showcases Gallaher’s blend of contemporary country and heartland rock, offering fans a more intimate take on his recent material.
