Ben Griffin debuts new caddie Jon Yarbrough at Mexico Open

PGA Tour professional Ben Griffin has begun competing at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open in Puerto Vallarta with a new caddie, Jon Yarbrough. Yarbrough, who previously served as the caddie for Phil Mickelson, follows a period of transition for Griffin after his separation from long-time caddie Alex Ritthamel.

In his opening round, Griffin carded a 64, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 third hole and four consecutive birdies. Griffin, a three-time Tour winner and 2025 Ryder Cup participant, noted that he has also been making adjustments to his putter during the tournament.

Yarbrough brings significant experience to the role, having worked with Scott Stallings for ten years and most recently assisting Mickelson following the retirement of Tim Mickelson. He is noted for his expertise in reading greens.
