Delta Air Lines flight evacuated at Ben Gurion Airport after bomb threat

A Delta Air Lines flight traveling from New York to Tel Aviv was evacuated at Ben Gurion International Airport on Tuesday morning following an anonymous bomb threat. The threat, which reportedly claimed an explosive device was located in the aircraft's cargo hold, prompted security protocols that saw the plane moved to an isolated area of the airport for a thorough inspection.

Security teams and specialized units conducted an extensive search of the aircraft and luggage. The Israel Airports Authority later confirmed that no suspicious objects or explosives were found and that the threat was a false alarm. All passengers were safely evacuated to the terminal, and airport operations have since returned to normal.

The incident occurred amid heightened aviation security concerns in Israel, following a recent hijacking attempt on a flydubai flight. Authorities are reportedly reviewing civil aviation procedures and security oversight in response to recent regional aviation incidents.
