Ben McKenzie joins Morena Baccarin in ‘Sheriff Country’ Season 2

Ben McKenzie will guest star in the second season premiere of the CBS procedural “Sheriff Country,” appearing alongside his real-life wife, series lead Morena Baccarin. The season premiere, titled “Cyclone,” is scheduled to air on Friday, October 9.

In the episode, McKenzie will portray Sheriff Wade, a neighboring law enforcement officer called in to assist Baccarin’s character, Sheriff Mickey Fox. The plot follows Mickey as she attempts to save a young woman from a dangerous criminal operation while simultaneously dealing with the revelation that her mother, DEA Deputy Director Eva Santos, is still alive.

“Sheriff Country” is a spin-off of “Fire Country.” The series features a cast including Matt Lauria, Michele Weaver, W. Earl Brown, and Christopher Gorham. The premiere will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
