Ben Shapiro seeks appearance on ‘The View’

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro stated that appearing on the ABC daytime talk show ‘The View’ would be a ‘dream booking’ for him. During an appearance on Bill O’Reilly’s ‘We’ll Do It LIVE!’ podcast on August 7, Shapiro admitted he has been attempting to secure a guest slot on the program for ten years.

Shapiro described himself as a ‘hate-watching fan’ of the show and expressed interest in having a conversation with hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Sunny Hostin. The discussion arose after O’Reilly questioned Shapiro regarding his access to mainstream media outlets owned by Disney, suggesting that such networks may be alienating portions of the country through their programming.

While Shapiro has frequently criticized the show, host Joy Behar previously noted in October 2025 that she would welcome more Republican guests, suggesting some are hesitant to appear. Recent political guests on the program have included Vice President JD Vance.
