Ben Simmons responds to viral practice airball video

Ben Simmons has addressed a viral video showing him missing a three-point shot during a Sacramento Kings practice session. The footage, which garnered millions of views online, specifically highlighted a single airball.

Simmons responded to the scrutiny by stating, “I airball one, and one of y’all posted it, and that’s the one that goes viral. S–t happens, you know? It’s basketball.” He emphasized his commitment to his work and dismissed claims that he does not love the game.

After sitting out the previous season, the 30-year-old former number one overall pick joined the Kings on a one-year minimum contract. While the team signed him for his defensive capabilities, size, and passing, his shooting ability remains a point of public interest. The Kings are scheduled to begin their season against the Clippers on October 21.
