France reports multiple violent crimes including fatal assaults and sexual violence

Several violent incidents have been reported across France. In Toulouse, a 93-year-old disabled woman was found dead in her home. An autopsy revealed serious injuries suggestive of sexual violence and traumatic neck injuries consistent with asphyxiation. A 34-year-old Sudanese man, who was reportedly in the country illegally, was arrested at the scene.

In the Maine-et-Loire region, a 63-year-old woman was shot and killed at a property in Ponts-de-Cé, near Angers. A 55-year-old man, described by neighbors as a former legionnaire, has been taken into custody. Investigators have seized a weapon from the scene.

In Villeurbanne, an elderly couple—a 90-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman—were assaulted and held captive in their home by three individuals. The suspects fled the scene after stealing 10 euros and a watch, leaving the victims with various injuries.
