Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro operator assigned 2026 revenue targets

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has assigned financial targets to the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro Line 1 operator, HURC. For the year 2026, the company is tasked with achieving a total revenue of over 615 billion VND and a post-tax profit of approximately 21.83 billion VND.

To reach these goals, the company must maintain a return on equity of 8.15% and aim for a 10% increase in post-tax profit compared to 2025. The daily revenue target averages roughly 1.7 billion VND.

It is noted that this revenue does not rely solely on passenger ticket sales. A significant portion of HURC's income is derived from public transport service subsidies based on operating distance and agreed unit prices, alongside revenue from ticket sales and infrastructure maintenance and management. The Metro Line 1 spans nearly 20 km and serves as the city's first urban railway project.
