Ben Zwiehoff extends contract with Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe
German cyclist Ben Zwiehoff has extended his contract with the UCI WorldTour team Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe beyond the 2026 season. The 32-year-old rider, originally from Essen, has been with the German formation since 2021 after transitioning from a career in mountain biking.
Zwiehoff is recognized primarily for his role as a reliable domestique, providing critical support to team leaders during major races. His contributions were notably evident during the Giro d'Italia in 2022, where he supported Jai Hindley in winning the pink jersey, and again in 2026, helping Hindley secure a podium finish.
In addition to his team support duties, Zwiehoff has achieved individual successes, including second-place finishes at the Tour of Türkiye and the Czech Tour. Upon announcing the renewal, Zwiehoff expressed his comfort within the team and emphasized the importance of collective effort in professional cycling.
