Benaguasil pig farm fire rescues workers and 3,300 pigs

A fire broke out at a pig farm in Benaguasil, Valencia, on Saturday. Five workers were inside the facility when the blaze occurred, but they were able to evacuate safely with the assistance of the Guardia Civil and local police.

Emergency responders focused on protecting approximately 3,300 pigs. Through the coordinated efforts of security forces, all animals were moved to safer areas of the farm to prevent deaths from flames or smoke inhalation. Firefighters also removed propane tanks from the vicinity to mitigate the risk of explosions. The fire has been fully extinguished, and no injuries or animal deaths were reported.
