A major forest fire broke out near Benahavís on the Costa del Sol in Andalusia, Spain, causing three injuries. Emergency measures included the preventive evacuation of the Montemayor Alto residential area and the confinement of the Benahavís urban center, La Coja, and various northern and western settlements. The firefighting operation involved over 200 personnel and approximately 20 aircraft. While the confinement for the main urban center was eventually lifted as conditions improved, evacuations for certain residential areas like Montemayor, La Coja, and Benahavís Hills remained in place as a precaution.
