Benalmádena advances recruitment for six firefighter positions

The Benalmádena City Council has advanced the recruitment process for six firefighter-driver positions within its Fire Prevention, Extinction, and Rescue Service. Following the publication of the definitive list of admitted and excluded applicants in the Official Gazette of the Province of Málaga, the process will move into the competitive examination phase.

These positions, part of the 2023 and 2024 public employment offers, will be filled by permanent civil servants. Mayor Juan Antonio Lara stated that the recruitment is part of a broader objective to hire up to 13 new staff members to enhance local emergency response capabilities.

To support these services, the municipality has allocated 1.5 million euros for fleet renewal, 510,000 euros for new uniforms and personal protective equipment, and 142,000 euros for improvements to the fire station facilities.
