Benchmark Electronics expands Southeast Asian capacity to target $3 billion revenue

Benchmark Electronics is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Southeast Asia to support a long-term revenue target of $3.0 billion. The company is focusing its growth strategy on Malaysia and Thailand to meet rising demand and record order intakes.

In Penang, Malaysia, the company has begun the ramp-up of a fourth precision technology facility in the third quarter of 2026. In Ayutthaya, Thailand, management is preparing to break ground on a third building at its campus, with construction scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2026 and completion targeted for the fourth quarter of 2027.

These investments follow a strong second quarter of 2026, during which the company reported revenue of $755.98 million and a diluted earnings per share of $0.55. Due to broadening demand across multiple sectors, Benchmark Electronics has raised its annual revenue growth forecast for 2026 to approximately 13 percent.
