Bend Studio making progress on new game project

Bend Studio, the developer behind 'Days Gone', is reportedly making significant progress on a new project. According to journalist Jason Schreier, the studio's next game could be revealed within the next one to two years.

The studio has faced a period of instability following the 2019 release of 'Days Gone'. After Sony rejected a sequel proposal and key directors departed, Bend Studio began working on a live-service title. However, that project was cancelled in 2025, similar to a planned 'God of War' live-service game at Bluepoint Games.

While the new project's genre, story, and connection to existing intellectual properties remain unknown, the development progress marks a potential return for the studio, which has had limited releases during the PlayStation 5 generation.
