BeneBiennale to open at Rocca dei Rettori in Benevento

The VII BeneBiennale, an international art biennial, is set to inaugurate at the Rocca dei Rettori in Benevento on August 25. This edition is centered on the theme ‘La Biennale che non c’è’ (The Biennale that is not there), a concept designed to encourage artists to look beyond the present and imagine or provoke future possibilities.

Thirty-one artists from diverse backgrounds and territories are participating in the competition. Their works span various styles, including contemporary research, figuration, experimentation, and memory. The event is presided over by Maurizio Caso Panza, with Carmine Elefante serving as artistic director.

The apple has been selected as the symbolic element for this edition, representing knowledge, discovery, temptation, and rebirth. The exhibition aims to move beyond the surface of things, using art to pose questions about the future rather than merely representing existing realities.
