Beneficência Portuguesa de São Paulo forms education joint venture

Beneficência Portuguesa de São Paulo (BP) has entered into a joint venture with Clariens Educação, an entity under Mubadala Capital, to expand its presence in health education. The partnership aims to develop postgraduate courses, continuing medical education programs, academic cooperation, research, and innovation projects.

The initiative seeks to integrate BP’s clinical staff, infrastructure, and scientific production with Clariens’ educational framework, which includes six higher education institutions in Brazil specializing in medical residency and educational technology. The deal is subject to regulatory approval.

This expansion follows BP’s existing efforts to grow its educational segment. The institution previously established its own faculty offering degrees in Nursing, Psychology, and Hospital Management, and recently received Ministry of Education approval to offer a medical program with 100 annual vacancies. BP expects its education division to reach an annual revenue of R$ 400 million within eight years.
