German benefit concerts raise thousands for regional charities
Several German towns hosted benefit concerts in June 2026, directing proceeds to local charitable organisations. In Frankenthal, the Mainzer Hofsänger performed at the Zwölf‑Apostel‑Kirche under the patronage of Mayor Dr. Nicolas Meyer, supporting the Bürgerhilfe 2000 e.V. and continuing a tradition that has raised more than €2 million for social projects over the years.
In Mannheim, the Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester’s concert at the Christuskirche generated €2 814,50 for the Mannheimer Vesperkirche, which provides meals, counselling and medical help to people in difficult life situations.
The Mombacher Bohnebeitel’s “Musical & More” event in Mainz’s Haus der Jugend raised €2 500 for the Treehouse Academy in Rundu, Namibia, supporting education for children from kindergarten through seventh grade.
The gospel choir Hope and Joy celebrated its 25‑year anniversary with a free concert in the St. Dionysius church in Neunkirchen, directing donations to the St‑Andreas Kapelle in Trippach.
