Benešov roadworks and Slovak postal service updates
In Benešov, Czech Republic, roadworks involving the laying of new asphalt will cause traffic restrictions in the city center from August 24 to August 31. A 210-meter section spanning part of Malé náměstí, Masarykovo náměstí, and Pod Brankou street will be closed. While vehicle access to Masarykovo náměstí will remain possible via Tyršova street through a temporary two-way traffic arrangement, local bus line 3 will face service changes, with all trips terminating at the Terminál stop.
In Slovakia, Slovenská pošta has announced that all postal branches affected by temporary summer closures will gradually reopen by September 30. This decision follows an intervention by the Office for Regulation of Electronic Communications and Postal Services, which ordered the company to cease temporary closures implemented to accommodate staff vacations. The regulator acted following petitions from local governments. Slovenská pošta stated that the adjustments are part of a standard operational process and a broader network optimization responding to declining demand for traditional postal services.
