Benetton Rugby and Zebre Parma draw 21-21 in pre-season test

Benetton Rugby and Zebre Parma played to a 21-21 draw in their first high-level pre-season test match held at Monigo Stadium in Treviso. The match marked the debut of Benetton’s new head coach, Wayne Pivac.

Zebre Parma took an early lead through a Ribaldi try and successful kicking by Montemauri. Benetton responded in the first half with a try from Nemer to level the score at 7-7. In the second half, Zebre extended their lead to 14-7 following a try by Trulla, but Benetton fought back with a try from Miranda to equalize at 14-14. The match ultimately concluded in a stalemate.

The fixture served as a preparation period for both United Rugby Championship franchises ahead of their official season commitments.
