Benetton Rugby secures first seasonal victory against Edinburgh

Benetton Rugby achieved its first victory of the season by defeating Edinburgh 31-12 at Monigo. Despite facing an early setback when prop Matias Medrano received a red card in the eighth minute, the team maintained control of the match.

Benetton established an early lead through a try by Piero Gritti in the opening minute. Additional tries from Ignacio Mendy and Bernasconi, along with successful conversions and penalties by Umaga, allowed the team to lead 28-0 by the 50-minute mark.

Edinburgh attempted a comeback in the second half with tries from Morris and Paterson, but Benetton's defense prevented further scoring, securing the win under the guidance of new technical staff led by Wayne Pivac.
